The new issue of the “ISTORIYA” is devoted to analyze and comprehend the features of the world order, formed as a result of the Versailles Peace Treaty. According to the main problems, the issue is divided into five blocks. The first includes articles on the problems of shaping the post-war world order. Special attention is paid to the diplomatic practices during the Paris Peace Conference. The second cluster of articles addresses issues of national statehood formation at the end of the First World War, depicts the complex interaction of national and imperial, the evolution of imperial identity into the national, the struggle between the competing ideologies of national political development. The third section is devoted to the problems of transformation of the Versailles system during the 1920s — 1930s. Serious attention is paid to the various aspects of interstate rivalry, modification of the relationship between metropolises and colonies in the interwar period. The fourth part of the issue depicts the growing crisis of the Versailles system, the result of which was the Munich Agreement of 1938. The authors analyze the main forms and methods of revising the world order that emerged after the Great War. The final block deals with the legal aspects of socio-political development in the Post-Versailles era, in particular, the problems of the legal status of refugees, the evolution of civil law and the impact of these processes on the formation of a new legal consciousness.
