Аннотация

Специфической особенностью скандинавской историографии эпохи викингов и раннего средневековья, как показывает автор статьи, является игнорирование историками и особенно историками религии восточноевропейских и византийских влияний, прежде всего на Восточную Скандинавию, невзирая на богатый археологический материал. В статье подробно обсуждаются причины сложившейся историографической ситуации, и результаты одностороннего подхода к решению многих проблем ранней истории Скандинавии. Автор отмечает пробуждение в последние десятилетия ХХ в. интереса к «восточным» связям Скандинавских стран и появление первых сборников статьей, посвященных отдельным аспектам этой многогранной темы.
