Abstract

New Constitution, Civil and Penal Laws, as well as multiple legal acts regulating various processes appeared in the Soviet State in the 1920s. After 1917, legislation concerning property, property rights, and inheritance radically changed, due to the slogans of the new power. The paper is dedicated to an analysis of the working documentation of the Narkomat of Justice, papers by lawyers of the 1920s, laws, as well as wills themselves. The author tends to reconstruct notarial practices of the time, the mechanism of inheritance, as well as some particular problems concerning this delicate sphere.
