Abstract

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the personal archival fund of Albert Zakharovich Manfred (1906—1976), one of the leaders of Soviet studies in French history. This archive was deposed in the Department of Manuscripts of the Russian State Library by the widow of the historian according to his will. It is diverse, extensive, and contains extremely interesting material for researchers of the life and works of Manfred. Among the materials of this archive there are diaries of the 1970s, autobiographies, documents related to the publication of the Annual of French Studies and to the work of the USSR—France Society, novellas, essays, and poems written in the 1920s, personal and official correspondence.
