Abstract

Soviet Union took part in discussion of colonial borders in Africa after World War II, a very crucial problem for Somalia, divided between Britain, France and Italy. Then Soviet Union tried to strengthen its influence on the Horn of Africa while a new Somali Republic tried to benefit from economic and military assistance of Soviet Union.
