Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the current climate agenda, the extent of its politicization and its impact on global economic development, as well as the future of its implementation in the Eurasian Economic Union. Currently, the global climate agenda, focused on reducing the anthropogenic factor and the energy transition, is becoming an instrument of economic policy. It is significantly affecting the development of both global and national economies, often to the detriment of industrial development and the slowdown of economic growth of some regions, with the undoubted benefit of climate agenda's promoters. At the same time, the review of a large number of researches from different fields of science in the article shows the ambiguity of the influence of anthropogenic factor on global warming, ocean acidification and other global changes in ecosystems. The article analyzes the points of the Concept for the Implementation of the Green Economy in the EAEU adopted in 2023 and the prospects for protecting the union space under the crisis of climate narratives. Despite the fact that all EAEU members are involved in the global climate agenda, a moderate strategy for its implementation, taking into account primarily the socio-economic interests of the member states and the integration union as a whole, seems appropriate.
