Abstract

A wide range of problems related to the study of the phenomenon of time, which flows in a special way in the urban environment and organizes the life of citizens, was presented at the All-Russian Scientific Conference “Time in the city: the long Middle Ages and its legacy”, held on September 19—20, 2022, in Moscow, organized by the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences. At the conference, reports were made summarizing the experience of studying time in a medieval city, its calculation and regulation, as well as the perception of the historical past of the city in the Middle Ages and at the present time.
