Abstract

The article raises the question: at what level of the stadium development of the Russian state, its relations with neighboring countries and peoples can be called “foreign policy” only conditionally; and when, under the influence of what factors, this term acquires full meanings, allowing it to be divided into “specialized” subcategories (colonial, expansionist, imperial, etc). This topic, being primarily of academic interest, allows us to delve deeper into the geopolitical and civilizational evolution of the Russian world and more accurately determine its place in world history.
