Abstract

This article is devoted to the role played by the Soviet diplomats in the development of the Mexican Left-Wing Movement. The research is based on some archive materials, and the author demonstrates various important aspects of participation of the Soviet Envoys in different episodes of activities by the Communist Party of Mexico and other structures affiliated with the CPM. These interactions were quite regular and reflected the dualistic character of the Soviet foreign policy. However, the links and influences were seriously determined by the personalities of different Soviet envoys and transformed notably in the 1920s.
