Abstract

The purpose of this article is to study the process of interaction of cultures and the perception of the Kazakhs and in particular of the elite of the Bukeyev Horde of theRussian Empire people’s culture. The article deals with the transformations that took place in the Inner Horde during the reign of his last Khan, Dzhangir Bukeev. The Khan, who has received a Russian education, was brought up by the Astrakhan civil governor, he paid great attention to the development of agriculture, the development of veterinary medicine, healing, education of the younger generation and improvement of  horse and camel breeds.

The source for the study were the archival materials found by the author in the Russian State Historical Archive and in the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also the published materials.

The studied sources prove that in the XIX century on the territory of the Bukeyev Khanate, new types of economic activity are introduced as a result of the interaction of cultures and veterinary medicine and medicine are being disseminated. Representatives of the Kazakh people who have received Russian education are included in the steppe transformation process.
