Abstract

The article is dedicated to the analysis of documentaries that was taken in British colonies in Africa in 1960s: “East African college”, “Introducing East Africa no 2”, “Prince Philip in the Gambia”. The analysis is taken within methodology of postcolonial studies popular in 1980s. Features of screenplay, film editing, design of a frames, narration researches as a means to create an ideological constructs. Historical and cultural context is take into account while discussing special features of the documentaries.
