Abstract

Julio Antonio Mella (1903—1929) — a prominent Cuban revolutionary figure of the first third of the 20th century, the leader of the student movement in Cuba, one of the founders of the first Communist Party of Cuba (1925), the people's University José Martí (1924), the Anti-imperialist League (1924) and other worker's, student's, agrarian and Trade-Union organizations of Cuba and Mexico. Wide erudition, profound knowledge of national history, familiarity with the ideology of Marxism-Leninism and experience of the Great Russian Revolution, allowed him to develop his strategy of struggle for true independence of Cuba. He became one of the first Cuban figures, which combine, associate in a single whole historical traditions in the national liberation struggle of the Cuban people of the last third of the 19th century and the international experience of the liberation struggle, in particular, case study of the Great Russian Revolution of 1917 and work out a practical way to fight to achieve genuine independence of Cuba from American imperialism.

Мельи Х. А. (1903—1929) — видный кубинский революционный деятель первой трети XX в., лидер студенческого движения Кубы, один из основателей Первой коммунистической партии Кубы (1925), Народного университета Хосе Марти (1924), Антиимпериалистической лиги (1925), МОПРА и других рабочих, студенческих, крестяьнских и профсоюзных организаций Кубы и Мексики. Широкая эрудиция, глубокие знания отечественной истории, знакомство с идеологией марксизма — ленинизма и опытом первой в мире социалистической страны — CCCР, позволили ему выработать свою стратегию борьбы за подлинную независимость Кубы. Он стал одним из первых кубинских деятелей, сумевшим объединить, связать в единой целое исторические традиции национально-освободительной борьбы кубинского народа последней трети XIX в. и международный опыт освободительной борьбы, в частности, пример Велиой Русской Революции 1917 г. и выработать практический путь борьбы для достижения подлинной независимости Кубы от американского империализма.
