Abstract

Author outlines the features and the specifics of the development of 17th century Russian philosophical thought. Much attention is paid to historical and social foundations, which in many ways determined the spiritual culture of this period. In the history of Russian thought 17th century passes under the sign of the Baroque style. It was at this period, which completes the time of development of ancient Russian philosophy, that the basic traditions of Russian philosophizing consisting in a special interest in the morally accentuated historiosophical and anthropological themes were finally formed.
