Abstract
The article is devoted to philosophical ideas in the work of Russian writers: Fedor Dostoyevsky and Leo Tolstoy; in it the basic landmarks of their creative evolution are presented, the key themes of their creativity are considered, their influence on Russian and Western culture is traced.
