Abstract
In 2014 and in 2015 RANEPA university in Moscow hold two colloqiua on digital humanities. This paper presents a short themed overview of those pioneering events. Four key issues were distilled by the author from a much broader array of topics covered during colloqiua. The author discusses subsequently the impact of digital "tools" on the instrumentalizaion of humanities, the data curation issues, transformation of academic labour and the importance of academic crowdsourcing, and the status of theory in the new world of digitalized humanities. Therefore a kind of a guide for humanists-newcomers is provided.
