Abstract
The article is devoted to the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), which is an autocephalous Eastern Orthodox church in North America. The exact number of OCA parishioners is debated. According to the 2006 edition of the Yearbook of American and Canadian Churches, the OCA has 1,064,000 members, an increase of 6.4 percent from 2005. This figure places the OCA as the 24th largest Christian denomination in the United States, and the second largest Eastern Orthodox church in the country, after the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
