Abstract
A brief on the history of the Saratov Volga Region from primitive communities to the XIII century is based on archaeological and written sources. The earliest palaeoanthropologic evidences, stone implements and dwelling sites of primitive people refer to the transitional monument types — from the final part of the Mousterian epoch to the Upper Paleolithic. Turkic speaking nomads used to dominate since Hun invasion till the later Middle Ages.
