Abstract

This article analyzes the mechanisms of existence and translation of modern historical knowledge. It identifies and characterizes the major social segments, where the process of organizing of the transfer of information about the past occurs. The very same process, its substantive value is defined by a state ‘historical policy’. Based on the analysis of the current situation of the methodological and institutional crisis of history, an attempt is made to determine its status, features in the changing information environment. Due to the globalizing of information space, particular attention is drawn to the main segments of transition of historical knowledge, digital media and the Internet. The author demonstrates how in society communicative discourse history is carried on.
