Abstract
In the illustrated tutorial examines the history of religious diversity and modernity of the Saratov region. A significant portion of this section is devoted to Christian denominations. Particular attention is paid to the Russian Orthodox Church in the Saratov Volga region, the history of Orthodoxy in the Saratov land before 1917, features state policy in relation to the Russian Orthodox Church in the Volga region of Saratov in the Soviet era, the modern Orthodox Diocese of Saratov. The authors have paid much attention to the history and the Old Believers in the Saratov Volga region. Among Christian denominations deserve special interest history and current situation of the Roman Catholic Church in the Saratov Volga region. This part of the section deals with the appearance of Catholics in the Volga region, the history of the Jesuit missions in Saratov (1800—1820), The problem of the existence of Tiraspol Roman Catholic Diocese of Saratov (1856—1918). In the study the history of the Roman Catholic Church in the Saratov Volga region in 1917—1939. As well as the current state of Catholic parishes. The next section is devoted to the history of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Saratov Volga region. The article summarizes the appearance of the church and the historical traditions of the Lutheran and Reformed education colonies in the Saratov Volga region, the history of German settlement in Saratov, and especially the existence of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Saratov Volga region in XIX — early XX centuries in the Soviet period.
The authors paid attention to other denominations, historically existed in the Saratov region — Islam and Judaism, their emergence, development and current state of the Saratov Volga region. The final part of this section is devoted to the issues of tolerance and contemporary religious situation in the region.
