Abstract
The article is dedicated to analysis of the reaction of the German press on the escalation of the Southern Slav problem in the allied Austria-Hungary on the eve of the First World War. German press position in the Agram High Treason Trial and the Friedjung Trial reflects the role and significance of the problem in the German public opinion.
