Abstract
The article describes the evolution of French policy in Egypt at the end of the XXth — beginning of the XXIst centuries. The basic factors influencing the Franco-Egyptian cooperation included political attitude of French presidents towards Egypt, principles of economic cooperation between the two countries,changing political situation in Egypt in 2011. French policy towards Egypt reflects the firmness of Gaullist foreign policy principles of modern France. Even a revolutionary situation in Egypt could not destroy the basic settings of the French policy towards the Middle East.
