Abstract
This article considers some new works of authors from Russia, European Union and the United States, who research the problems of formation of law pf the Sea during the second half of the XX century. In the focus of this works lies the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, Its preparing, adoption application, and impact on the modern juridical status of the World Ocean.
