Abstract
A brief description of studies of religiosity in Russia is given, and afterwards the author emphasizes the need to examine this phenomenon in all its diversity and complexity, in its various dimensions and manifestations. Multidimensional approach to study of religiosity is aimed at doing it. One of the principles of this approach is the use of different methods. The author makes a presentation of one of such methods — the method of calculation of parishioners — and then on the example of a longitudinal study in parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in Tyumen (2005—2010) he shows the diversity of religious behavior of parishioners in their church-attendance on different days, and he also describes factors affecting this behavior.
