Abstract
The article is devoted to an analysis of the most important document in the history of the ideological development of the Serbian intellectual opposition in Yugoslavia in the time of system crisis until the 1980s. The author investigates the causes and circumstances of the preparation and publication of the Memorandum and its role in the revival of so-called "Serbian question" in the mass consciousness of the Serbian population. Textual analysis of the Memorandum is given by the author in the context of the crisis in official ideology and international relations in Yugoslavia, and in close connection with the literary and publicist works of the famous Serbian intellectuals.
