Abstract
Louis XIV as a critical component of the monopolization of power by the king and his ministers. The author stresses that the military reforms of the Marquis Louvois changed not only the military-political structure of France, but also the social structure. Restricting the initiative of commanders in the war, the War Minister limited also the important sphere of the aristocracy and princes of the blood influence on power. It is no accident illustrious generals, Marshal Turenne and the Prince de Conde opposed Louvois, personified the unity of state will in their area.
