Abstract

The article analyzes the perceptions of the crisis in the Jewish world at the end of XIX – beginning of XXth centuries by the Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook from historical and philosophical points of view. This comparative analysis allowed us to determine the peculiarities of conflict’s resolutions proposed by Rabbi A.I. Kook; to underline the atypical of his figure as an Ultra-Orthodox / Orthodox and to identify entirely new interpretation of the fundamental sources of the Jewish religion proposed by him.
