No intervención en los asuntos de España en el contexto de la política europea del Reino Unido (el agosto del 1936 - el mayo del 1937)
Abstract
Article is devoted to one of the international phenomena generated by the beginning of the Civil war in Spain (1936 – 1939) – to the non-intervention to the conflict. The realization of the policy of non-intervention by the government of Great Britain is investigated on the basis of materials of the archive of foreign policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the published foreign policy documents of the leading European countries of second half of the 30th of ХХ century. In the article the motives of a choice of strategy of non-intervention and the basic measures on realization of the given policy by S. Baldwin's British government (in May, 1937 to the power N. Chamberlain's conservative Office has come) are considered. Influence of a policy of non-intervention to the Spanish conflict on the all-European foreign policy of Great Britain during the investigated period is analyzed, the reasons of unproductiveness of the given political course as for the destiny of republican Spain, so for the British national interests are specified.
