Abstract
After the downfall of Soviet-communist ideology the monopoly for the History and its interpretation disappeared. There are a lot of historical conceptions and research approaches of History in modern Russia. The most popular and widely spread conceptions are civilizational and formational. The author considers these two approaches compatible as parallels and meridians. The most popular is modern formational conception is the “modernizational” one. In this coordinate frame the author disposes the prevailing problems of soviet history which met in each chronological block . The debatable problems can be found in each chronological blocks.
