The issue of the “ISTORIYA” is devoted to a wide range of problems, related to the transformation of the global world order over the past centuries, the place and role of Russia in these processes. The political turbulence of the present time and crisis in international relations make the study of the experience of the past especially relevant.
Thus, the first thematic block includes articles on diplomacy and international relations in the 19th century. Various aspects of the interaction of the powers within the framework of the “European concert” are shown, including the German question, the status of neutral states, etc. The second section is devoted to the difficult historical path of the Soviet state, from the time of its emergence to the Cold War era. The issues of internal development of the country, as well as the specifics of interaction with other states are considered. A separate block of works touches on the subject of ideological and conceptual understanding of the actual problems of the 19th —21st centuries, including the specifics of the functioning of the colonial discourse, the peculiarities of the development of British military thought, the identification of factors affecting the global political processes of modernity, etc.
The final block of articles “Varia” consists of publications devoted to various issues of the current socio-political agenda, such as public diplomacy, migration and terrorism, transformation of various aspects of modern law.
