Abstract

The war prisoners have suffered penalties throughout all the history conflicts, but his conditions have got worse after the arrival of total war. In this sense, during the Spanish Civil War, the soviet airmen captured by the insurgents have suffered from torture until murder. Nevertheless, in the end of 1936 changed the treatment of those militaries, who became value elements to make exchanges for own airmen captured by the enemy. Their life conditions were marked for their nationality as much as for their airman status.
