Abstract
The article is devoted to battle banners given to the batallions of Independent corps of internal guard of Russian empire during The Crimean war 1853—1856. Independent corps of internal guard was considered non-combat since its foundation. Formal indicator of this was the absence of battle banners among its battalions. The themes mentioned in the article include different aspects of internal guard’s action during the war, reasons for presentation of battle banners, its own special guise and the meaning of these presentations for Independent corps of internal guard of Russian empire.
