Abstract

Information on documents stored in the Novgorodian archive of manorial and estate affairs at the late 17th century is introduced into scientific circulation by the article. A source study of the information from the archival inventory made it possible to make a series of observations important for understanding how the document storage system looked like, in what conditions the archive existed, which steps its history went through. Fragments of the inventory relating to the documents of the 16th century that were stored in a systematized form in five sections (by five “pyatinas”) are published in the appendix. The sixth part of the inventory listing defective documents of the archive is published without exceptions.
