Abstract
In this material the history of the Crimea in the period of 1944—1945 has been considered. The situation on the peninsula after the liberation from the German invaders has been characterized. The damage caused to the Crimea by the German occupation has been estimated. Features of eviction of the Crimean Tatars, Armenians, Bulgarians and Greeks have been disclosed. The reasons, course of events and consequences of the Crimean (Yalta) Conference of the leaders of the USSR, the US and the UK have been analyzed.
