Abstract
As a result of the reforms of the 1860s — 1870s in Tauride province received the development of processing industries (food and light): opens the tobacco factories, flour mills; developed the salt production, trade. After the emigration of the Crimean Tatars and arrival the residents from Russia to Crimea the peninsula emerged Russian and Ukrainian ethnic territories. Start of development of the Crimea as a resort dates back to the second half of the 19th century. Developed state system of primary and secondary education. Noticeable increase in the socio-political and national movement. During the First World War Tauride province was declared under martial law.
