Abstract
The article is devoted to actual problems of historical knowledge. It analyzes the ontological and epistemological problems which were posed by the French historical school “Annales” that emerged in the late 30s of the last century. Since the end of 19th century there was positivist interpretation of facts which dominated in historical science in France. Thus they basically meant political events underneath. The author notes that Annales played an important role in the liberation of the history from positivism.
