Abstract
he article is devoted British participation in the life of Russian imperial court. Served as the main source of camer-furiers journals, reflecting the ceremonial life of the court. The author identifies three groups of British who visited the Russian court and contact to Catherine the Great: consisting in the Russian service, visited the court private persons and diplomats. The article analyzes the forms of court life, which was attended by the British of each group: court dinners, participation in the balls, holidays and travels of Catherine II, and others.
