Abstract
The main idea of the article is to give an analytical review on XXth century world history in high school program in South Africa. The main sources of this text are high school program in history and interviews with experts from The University of Cape Town. The idea is to show the result of school reforms after the democratization in 1994. The author states that school education in South Africa is seriously influenced by contemporary trends and ideas of global history. At the same time, the history of Africa and South Africa is an important part of school curriculum.
