Abstract
This article examines the impact of the fighting on the Soviet-German front on the national economy. Like the First World War, the Great Patriotic War was a war of the industrial age, and this was dictated by the increased burden on the national economy of the Soviet Union, titanic effort and in the shortest time (literally in the two prewar five-year) to create two industrial centers in the South-East of Ukraine and Urals. Extremely unfavorable to the Soviet economy reflected the loss of the first industrial center and the evacuation of industrial enterprises with their staff in the eastern regions of the USSR. In addition to these issues in the article deals with the mobilization of the economy and labor heroism of Soviet workers in the rear, the role of foreign supplies to the Soviet Union, the importance of European economic and military collaboration to Hitler's Germany, as well as the looting of the occupants of the western regions of the Soviet Union.
