Abstract

An analysis of most important works on the New British History is grouped in this article on the basis of its leading contributors (John Morrill, Conrad Russell, and Glenn Burgess) and consequently covers three essential areas of academic research associated with recent historiographical trends represented by so called holistic (Morrill and his disciples), reductionist (Russell and his former students), and comparative (Burgess and his followers) approaches.
