Abstract

The paper presents a study of a demographic transformation of the Greek population in Southern Italy during the Norman domination. The research on prosopography and anthroponimy of Greeks referred in private charters was made. On this basis a reconstruction of the evolution of the Greek ethnic society in the region was fulfilled.
