Abstract
In 1920—1930’s and earlier the relations between both powers focused on the economic sphere. Besides trade, there existed public-private partnership. Dozens of American companies conducted business in form of concessions, paid technical assistance, and supplies of modern industrial equipment. The ground for mutual perception, evaluation and comparison of business and moral qualities of each other, conditions for making business, economic policy was laid before the diplomatic recognition in 1933.
