Abstract
The article covers the evolution of the Eurocentric theory and its influence on conceptual approaches to studying Global history. The article reveals the formation stages of the approach according to which the historical development of the West is seen as a model for the rest of the world. Global history is presented as the alternative and the result of linear global history models’ development. The problems and the integrative potential of global history theory are analyzed in the article. The comparative analysis of approaches to studying transitive epochs in linear evolutional and global macrohistory models has been made.
