Abstract
This article focuses on the problem of French President Francois Mitterrand’s reaction on events in the world in the late twentieth century. The assessment of decisions which were made by Mitterrand are shown through the prism of his analysis of German reunification, the crisis of the USSR, a new stage of “Building of Europe”, and the evolution of political regimes in Central Europe, which followed the fall of the Berlin Wall.
