Abstract
The situation of the two continental European countries, France and Germany, in the first half of the XVI century in the context of the early modernization is analyzed on the basis of historical and sociological studies of P. Chaunu, G.A. Dideriks, V.M. Rakov. The total content and essence of the transformation, and their specificity for each of the countries are revealed in political, economic and socio-cultural spheres.
