Abstract
In the article by V.E.Martynov the theme of human losses by various countries-participants of the Second World War and, first of all, soviet people, is considered. The thorny question, being a subject of a fierce discussion, is close to the answer. The enormous death-roll of the Soviet citizens could be explained by the intentional policy of Wehrmacht ,SS and occupational genocide on a unprecedented scale. As the author marks, ideas of the racial superiority were routed on the fields of battles, but haven't died. On the contrary, the policy of some states leads to the revival or even to practical realization of the ideas of xenophobia and apartheid.
